Facebook Security Changes Affect Custom Tab Page Display

Facebook recently made another change that creators of pages should be aware of. They added a setting within the Account Settings that allows users to use Facebook through a secure connection (whenever possible).
The simple way to explain this is that instead of the user’s URL being http://www.facebook.com it will be https://www.facebook.com. Using HTTP is an unsecure way of surfing while HTTPS is secure. This simply means that the protocol used to communicate with said sight is secure.
